According to Deloitte, Indian music streaming market is set to touch Rs 3100 crore by 2020 and the report has certainly interested Swedish streaming giant Spotify to explore the market.
While the details are yet to be unfolded, the company had reportedly leased out an office in Mumbai in 2017. Indian music streaming market is already crowded with players such as Saavn, Gaana, SoundCloud, Wynk, Hungama, Google Play Music, Apple Music etc.
Spotify which is a freemium service believes, ad-free basic features, improved streaming quality, music download option on paid subscription will keep it ahead of its counterparts.
