Streaming subscription service YouTube Premium makes debut in seven countries

Paid streaming subscription service, YouTube Music Premium and YouTube Premium have gone live in seven new countries, marking its presence felt in 25 global markets. Previously known as YouTube Red, YouTube Premium provides users access to ad-free video streaming services. Launched in June, YouTube Premium is expected to cost  $11.99 per month, and is expected to bring the entire Google Play Music catalogue and YouTube’s exclusive mixes, covers and live performances. 

The new streaming service, YouTube Premium offers the same benefits as Music Premium along with access to exclusive content. The countries where the streaming platform has been launched are Colombia, Chile, Peru, Japan, Switzerland, Portugal and Ukraine.
