BHUBANESHWAR, April 1, 2019 – As part of its CSR initiatives, city-based tech firm Muvi, visited Jeevan Jyoti Ashram, a Khandagiri-based orphanage yesterday. Muvians gathered in numbers to support the orphans and vulnerable children who in return welcomed the Muvi team with a whole heart.
“Life is not easy for anyone, but how to stand tall against all odds, these children teach us,” quotes Sheel Jena, Manager HR, Muvi. “Our momentary happiness or anxiety are so minuscule in front of these children’s daily hardship. I am amazed to see the spirit, the vigor, and the sparkle among the children who are struggling for a decent life yet have dreams in their eyes. What Jeevan Jyoti Ashram is doing, it’s beyond commendable. I salute the team”, Sheel adds.
As a token of goodwill towards Jeevan Jyoti Ashram, Muvi extended support and donated one month’s grocery, notebooks, floor mats, utensils among the children.
“The children are so much fun. We had an amazing session where we talked about their school, studies, and more. They are all dreaming and dreaming big irrespective of the social adversity. It’s a huge learning for everyone especially today’s generation who are according to a study are highly prone to depression because of their haywire lifestyle and social acceptance issues. The children here are dealing with much more than that with a smile and undying spirit,” quotes Rahul Panda, Senior Product Manager, Muvi while thanking Jeevan Jyoti Ashram for the benevolence.
The event was followed by a lunch and a magic show organized by Team Muvi upon the orphanage’s request where magician Sukesh Pattanaik performed a few tricks that enthralled the children with amusement, fun, and laughter.
The event was supported by volunteers from Jeevan Jyoti Ashram who have been the pillars of support of the noble institution for the last 6 years.
