Type II Compliant

SOC 2 Type II is technically an "attestation report," developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and issued by an independent CPA firm after an audit. It evaluates controls against five Trust Services Criteria — Security (mandatorily), Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy — with each company choosing which apply to them. Because there is no fixed checklist, the report and its scope are customized to the specific organization, which is why no two companies' SOC 2 reports look alike.

Mentioning "Type II" specifically matters: a Type I report is only a point-in-time snapshot confirming controls are properly designed, while a Type II report tests whether those controls actually operate effectively over a period — in Muvi's case, six months, from December 2025 through May 2026. This makes Type II the harder, more credible version to achieve, and it's what Muvi has completed, covering Security, Availability, and Confidentiality.
