Working With Muvi #MyStory by Nikhil Jondhale

Nikhil was part of the MUVI family for two memorable years as our Email Marketing Specialist. Recently, we caught up with him over a virtual coffee, and let’s just say—it didn’t take long for the old memories, stories, and MUVI moments to come flooding back!

From the people who made his journey special to the lessons that stayed with him long after he moved on, we had a great chat about his time at MUVI, what he learned along the way, and why some workplaces are simply hard to forget. Here’s what he had to say.

1. What made you choose MUVI when you joined, and what were you expecting from the experience?

When I joined MUVI, I was looking for a place where I could learn, grow and get opportunities to work on different things. MUVI had a very open and energetic culture, and that attracted me.

I joined with the expectation of learning and contributing, but I ended up learning much more than I expected.

2. Looking back at your two years at MUVI, what stands out as the most memorable part of your journey?

For me, it is definitely the people.

I had the opportunity to work closely with Viraj, my CMO and manager, and learned a lot from him. He always wanted the company to grow along with its people and was constantly looking for new strategies, ideas and better ways of doing things. That pushed me to keep learning and think differently.

I also have very good memories of working with Anshuman and the wider MUVI team. One thing I always appreciated about both Anshuman and Viraj was their employee-focused approach. They genuinely valued their people, and that made a difference.

Of course, there were many good responsibilities and achievements, but the people and relationships are what I remember most.

3. What was the biggest professional or personal learning you took away from MUVI?

I learned to take ownership.

MUVI gave me the freedom to try things, make decisions and learn along the way. A big thanks to Viraj for giving me that freedom. It made me more confident in taking responsibility instead of waiting for someone to tell me what to do.

4. How did MUVI shape your approach to work and your career?

MUVI definitely changed the way I approach work. I started looking at the bigger picture and thinking more about the business impact of what I was doing.

After MUVI, I worked on different projects and with organizations such as eClerx, PayPal, UST, OSG and Equifax, and I learned something from every experience. But honestly, I still feel the culture and people at MUVI were different. Nothing has really felt quite the same.

I had to leave MUVI because of a family emergency. It was not something I had planned, and leaving was not easy.

5. What advice would you give current MUVIans?

Make the most of your time at MUVI.

Take opportunities, ask questions, learn from your seniors and colleagues, and don’t be afraid to try something new. Don’t restrict yourself only to your role.

And most importantly, enjoy the people you work with. The work will change, but the relationships and memories stay with you.

6. If you could go back to your first day at MUVI, what would you tell yourself?

I would probably say, “Enjoy the journey a little more. Learn as much as you can, take more chances, and spend more time with the people around you.”

Looking back, MUVI was not just another company I worked for. It was an important part of my journey, and I’m genuinely grateful for the people, learning and memories I got from there!
