20th Century Fox acquires 4% share in Italy’s T-VOD service Chili, joins Warner and Paramount

20th Century Fox has joined Warner and Paramount in acquiring shares of Chili, Italy’s T-VOD service. Fox has taken a 4% share in Chili which was founded in 2012 for €6 million. While Warner and Paramount have 4% shares each, Sony holds 3% share of the Italian video-on-demand service.

Chili, the Italian T-VOD service offers cinema previews, new releases, a digital catalog with over 30,000 films and TV series. The OTT service can be accessed via the open internet, through apps (iOS/Android), Google Chromecast and connected TV sets from Samsung, Toshiba, LG, Philips, Panasonic, Sony, and HiSense.
