ALTBalaji the over-the-top (OTT) platform of Balaji Telefilms’ registered over half a million paid customers in the Q3 of the FY 2018.
The paid customers accessing the service through third-party telecom apps. Also, the online platform has an integration deal with Vodafone’s OTT app and Vodafone Play.
The online video streaming service has reported a gross billing of Rs 4.4 crore until 31 December 2017. AltBalaji reported a 10 million app downloads and 1.2 million web traffic and the numbers are only expected to grow in the upcoming years as it has locked a content deal with telecom giant Reliance Jio.
Since inception, AltBalaji had reported 433 million minutes of online video consumption so far. The revenue policy is based on the validity of subscription plan selected by customers.
