Technology giant, Apple music streaming service, Apple Music has hit the 50 million subscribers mark, a big leap from the 40 million, as reported in April. According to reports, Apple is committed to develop original on-demand video content with an aim to diversify into the domain of Netflix and Amazon Prime.

Tim Cook, CEO, Apple quoted, “We are very interested in the content business…we will be playing in a way that is consistent with our brand. We’re not ready to give any details on it yet. But it’s clearly an area of interest.”

Started as audio based service, Apple Music expanded into video streaming in 2016 and introduced plans to develop into original content production in January 2017.
