Hulu, world’s popular vod platform has announced that soon it will be shifting its ad supported free TV streaming to a new Yahoo offering Yahoo View. The new vod service will replicate the content available to Hulu’s non-subscription viewers and will provide last 5 episodes of NBC, FOX and ABC.

Hulu decides to focus on its subscription based customers by transferring its advertising base. At present Hulu offers two subscription models, $7.99 per month for viewing with commercials and $11.99 per month for ad-free viewing. Yahoo View on the other hand will rely on Hulu’s partners to produce shows and will tie up with Tumblr to cultivate second-screen engagement.
