Russian pay TV service provider NTV Plus is set to launch an internet-connected hybrid set top box that will offer interactive TV services including catch-up TV, pause live TV and video on demand platform. The new service will allow subscribers to browse channels and order movies.
According to NTV Plus, sales will kick off in November and the company expects this OTT box to account for 10% of all its box sales. The service will also have exclusive premiers featuring the on-demand offerings.
