Today, JD Power released its annual surveys tracking customer satisfaction with their Internet and television service providers. The findings of the survey reveal that customers are generally happier with their service providers than they were in 2014.
Overall customer satisfaction with television providers went up 12 points to 723 this year (on a 1000 point scale). Satisfaction with network performance and reliability has improved to 765 in 2015, an increase of 22 points from last year. DirecTV ranks highest in TV customer satisfaction in the East region; AT&T U-verse and DirecTV rank highest (in a tie) in the North Central region; Verizon’s OTT VOD service FiOS ranks highest in the South region; and Dish Network ranks highest in the West region.
With increased customer satisfaction comes less chance for churn, as 53 percent of highly satisfied residential TV customers said they “definitely will not” switch provider in the next year.
