According to a recent Roy Morgan Research report, nearly 2 in 5 Kiwis have SVOD service subscription, and 1 in 10 already have at least two subscriptions in their home. The research also stated that over a million New Zealanders now have Netflix and Lightbox is the fastest growing SVOD service in the country.
Some estimated 1,066,000 New Zealanders aged 14 and above joined Netflix, 56 % up as compared to 684,000 in December 2015. However the number of Kiwis with Lightbox doubled over the period, from 285,000 to 630,000.
