According to a new forecasts by German ICT federation Bitkom, revenues generated from VOD services in Germany are expected to hit EUR 945 million in 2017. The VOD industry had a turnover of EUR 800 million in 2016 and the figure is expected to increase by 18% year on year.
Overall in 2016, Ad-supported services generated some EUR 369 million revenues, while pay-per-view services brought in EUR 218 million and subscription services contributed EUR 214 million in revenues.
