According to a recent research by PayPal and SuperData Research, some three quarters ( 75%) of consumers pay for video streaming services as compared to 41% who buy downloads. The research also finds out that more than half ( 58%) of consumers watch video content on their smartphones using paid services.
Netflix was found out to be the most popular platform, having more than half ( 55%) of American viewers preferring it over other platforms. Amazon Prime was found second at 14% viewership. Smartphones are most popular for music streaming, with some 86% streaming music on smartphones.
