The penetration rate was only 52% in 2011, which rose to 75% in 2013, and now it’s a whopping 98%. 95% of children this age now have a smartphone, up from 63% in 2013 and 41% in 2011. 78% have a tablet, up from 40% in 2013, and only 8% in 2011. 42% of children now have their own tablet device, up from 7% in 2013, and less than 1% in 2011.
