Mobily and Starz Play sign strategic deal for new VoD platform

Saudi Arabian telecommunications services company, Mobily has struck a partnership deal with Starz Play for providing the best Bollywood and Hollywood blockbuster productions through its VoD platform. The video-on-demand service in the MENA region, Starz Play has signed a new method of payment partnership to make its service accessible to millions of Mobily subscribers.

With this partnership, Mobily users can sign up to “Starz Play” can and make payments directly through their Mobily account. Subscribers can access to more than 10,000 hours of best movies, TV shows, kids entertainment, documentaries and a lot of the dedicated Arabic productions content, all in ad-free, 4K quality and/or HD.

Maaz Sheikh, CEO and Co-founder, Starz Play quoted, “With the Saudi Arabian entertainment industry opening up, our brand new partnership with Mobily extends our reach to a wider audience and takes our service direct to all of Mobily’s subscribers, which represents approximately 28 per cent of the 54 million mobile subscribers in the Kingdom.”
