The largest pirate websites including Pelis24, Series24 and the leading Spanish language streaming platforms have been closed down by Peru authorities.

The move is a measure of strengthening the international protest against Spanish-language pirate sites. It also follows the removal of other popular services such as Rojadirecta, Series.ly and Cuevana.

Piracy is declining on cable in Peru following suit tough measures against illegal set-top-boxes (STBs) and signal providers, however rising on over the top (OTT) and online video platforms.
