Sony PlayStation Now to use Microsoft’s Azure

Despite being fierce competitors, Sony and Microsoft are teaming up for a game-streaming deal. As per the reports, Sony is expected to use Microsoft’s Azure to host its upcoming game streaming service – PlayStation Now.

Kenichio Yoshida, CEO – Sony, Commented: “For many years, Microsoft has been a key business partner for us, though of course, the two companies have also been competing in some areas. But I believe that our joint development of future cloud solutions will contribute greatly to the advancement of interactive content”.

The partnerships between Sony and Microsoft are not restricted to cloud solutions only, the companies are also in talks to work together on artificial intelligence, image sensors, and new semiconductors.
