SportsFix eyes ASEAN expansion

Mayfair 101, a boutique international investment group has invested $1 million in SportsFix, a Malaysia based live streaming sports platform for the ASEAN region.

The initial funding is meant for the expansion of business operations of SportsFix in Indonesia, Thailand, and other ASEAN markets.

The Kuala Lumpur based video-on-demand (VoD) company delivers local, regional and international live sports content to mobile devices via SportsFix.tv across ASEAN.

SportsFix which was launched in 2017, hopes to emerge as the market leader in live sports streaming in the region. The company has collaborated with Digi and CELCOM Axiata, two major telecom providers and streams live games and Video-on-Demand (VoD) in Malaysia.

James Mawhinney, Managing Director, Mayfair 101, quoted, “The platform was a natural choice for us given the ASEAN region has one of the highest uptake rates of mobile data consumption and a rising interest in local and international sports.”
