According to a report by Digital TV Research, OTT TV and video revenues in Latin America will reach USD 3.59 billion in 2021, more than triple the USD 1.15 billion recorded in 2015. Although Netflix has been present across the region since September 2011, the report said substantial SVOD competition from the likes of America Movil’s Claro Video, Telefonica’s Movistar Play, HBO Go, Televisa’s Blim and Millicom’s Tigo Play has served to substantially boost revenues over the past year.
