According to a recent TMR research, global video streaming services are showing a much greater adoption rate than the regional ones. The reasons regional services are finding it difficult to compete with international OTT services are quality, features, and price advantages.
The research stated that the global OTT services market is expected to reach US$3.5 billion, growing at a CAGR of 16.4% between 2017 and 2025. The research also found that out of all the monetization models, the premium and subscription model segments accounted for the dominant 48% of the overall market in 2016.
