TV everywhere in Europe is a rapidly spreading phenomenon, driving pay TV operators towards launching pure OTT platforms. The Dataxis research found out that TV everywhere was available to 130 million customers in Europe by the end of 2016.
The research concluded that TV everywhere was at the penetration of 72% over Pay TV subscribers among all Europeans. In 95% of the cases TV everywhere service is available for free as part of their basic TV subscriptions.
