According to research, the rate of cancellations for OTT platforms among the U.S. broadband households has been steady at 18% over the past three years. The average subscription length for OTT platforms is 30 months overall. SVOD giants such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Hulu have been among the most stable platforms with other being largely volatile.
Research also suggests that 85% of millennials subscribe to at least one OTT platform with more than 265 million households worldwide will have more than 400 million OTT subscriptions by 2022.
