WarnerMedia and Charter announce a multiyear distribution agreement for HBO Max. This deal will make the later as the upcoming video streaming platform for WarnerMedia, which will be available to all Charter customers. The video streaming platform is expected to be launched in May.
This deal will provide automatic access to all existing HBO subscribers of Charter including those of Spectrum Silver and Gold video packages to HBO Max with no additional charge. Subscribers simply need to sign in to HBO Max app. The other remaining as well as new customers can purchase HBO Max straightway from Charter.
President of WarnerMedia Distribution, Rich Warren said, “Charter has been a long time distributor of our networks and on-demand content, and a valued partner to our company. We look forward to working together to bring HBO Max to Spectrum subscribers when the product launches next month.”
Executive Vice President, Programming Acquisition of Charter, Tom Montemagno said, “We are eager to provide Spectrum customers with the highly-anticipated HBO Max offering when it makes its debut next month. This new premium streaming experience will be a welcome addition to Spectrum subscribers; we will offer HBO Max on a multitude of platforms for purchase by our video, broadband and mobile customers alike.”
