The Leichtman Research Group (LRG) has published a report which shows that almost 81% of American households have VOD/DVR or use a SVOD service like Netflix, Amazon or Hulu. These numbers have been steadily growing over the past 2 years. The findings show that the usage of such services is much higher in the lower age bracket while compared to the older population (above 55).
“Today, over 80% of households get at least one of these services, and in recent years Netflix and other streaming SVOD offerings have expanded the use and popularity of on-Demand TV.” said Bruce Leichtman, the president and principal analyst for LRG.
