Internet users prefer streaming video than cable according to a new research conducted by CBS. According to a study by Fluent LLC based on cable and TV habits of internet users, 67% of people from all age groups used some form of video streaming like Hulu, Netflix or Amazon whereas only 61% had a cable subscription at home. 77% of young users resorted to video streaming services as compared with 57% that used cable. Amazon Prime was consistently used across all age groups.

About half of those surveyed used Netflix. Cord cutting is increasingly becoming the norm with 1.5 million Americans that dropped cable subscriptions in 2016 bringing the subscribers for cable TV down to 99.4 million which forms 85% of U.S households. Read More
