Almost every main stream TV channel is available through internet video streaming services. Cutting the cord is an option for many seeking independence from high costs of cable. But the biggest challenge to internet based TV is internet speeds. Netflix and other video streaming services recommend 5 Mbps. What is to be noted here that it is okay for people streaming one HD show or movie at a time. And broadband speeds vary a lot during peak and off-peak hours. In contrast, cable TV doesn’t interrupt by buffering. Hence it is imperative that internet broadband speeds be upgraded before taking the plunge, and also it may be wiser to keep both Pay TV and video streaming services.
