Twitter is rolling out the insertion of pre-roll ads for live streaming videos through its Periscope live-streaming service. The social media giant said this move will allow brands to attach their message to specific broadcasts including creators and publishers.

These ads will appear the same way as they do currently on Twitter videos found in users timelines. Twitter has broadcasted 6.6 million hours of live videos through Periscope in its financial fourth quarter this year and attracted 31 million unique viewers to live premium video with 600 hours of live content from about 400 events.
