Communications said it plans to announce over-the-top products in the U.S. and Latin America later this year. Speaking on Discovery’s earnings call Thursday morning, CEO David Zaslav said the company already has a quarter of a million #ott subscribers for products in Europe paying $8 a month, generating substantial earnings. In a video on demand platforms market that is already bristling with competitors, it remains to be seen how Discovery catches up on the lost half a decade.
