Gaana, the Indian music streaming giant, introduces music video services on its app in an effort to widen its market dominance. The videos are tailor-made for mobile viewing and available in vertical format only.
With this development, Gaana is supposed to differentiate the audio streaming competition from rivals like JioSaavn, Spotify, and Amazon Prime Music.
The eight-year-old music streaming platform, owned by Times Internet, has surpassed 100 million monthly users in March and dominates the industry with more than 65% market share.
