The season 7 premiere of the hugely popular TV series Game of Thrones broke HBO records by garnering 16.1 million viewers across HBO, video-on-demand and streaming.
10.1 million viewers watched the opening episode of GOT surpassing HBO’s previous high of 8.89 million and up 27% over the season six debut.
The remainder of 6 million viewers tuned in via DVR and streaming on HBO Go and HBO Now.
