As per a recent joint study by Amplifi, Miaozhen and Nielsen, up to 21% of OTT TV users are willing to pay for their favorite online video content if it is streamed direct to their smart TVs, whereas only 4% are ready to pay for the same content streamed through computers, smartphones or tablet devices.
According to All View Cloud, the total no. of owners of OTT TV would reach 213 million by the end of 2016 and will double to 403 million by 2020. This survey also found out that 68% of consumers plan to buy OTT devices as they are fascinated by the richness of content being offered.
