According to an independent research from Openwave Mobility, over 50% of Middle Eastern subscribers would switch their carriers to the one offering an uncapped video streaming service. The research also found out that subscribers blamed mobile operators for poor streaming quality.
Mobile data in the Middle East and Africa has been growing at a phenomenal rate of increasing traffic 117% last year. The research also found out that viewers were okay with the poor quality of experience but if the video buffered more than 6 seconds, they would abandon the video.
