Over 40% TV time spent on OTT 22 April 2016

According to the Adobe & the Diffusion Group research, OTT services account for over 40% of TV time. Out of this OTT viewing times, 65% accounts for SVOD services like Netflix or Hulu, free streaming is 30% and 5% is transactional streaming services. According to the Streaming Video Survey Analysis carried out by the group earlier in January – “some type of online subscription video service” was used by 82% of the adult respondents. Netflix leads the list with 70%, Amazon Prime at 33% and Hulu Plus is at 21%. YouTube leads the pack of free video streaming services at a huge 83%.
