Rentrak and AMC Networks have entered a pact to develop a new cross-platform metric that tracks incremental viewer reach. Needless to say, it’s a huge effort towards tracking audience behavior on VOD services.
This pack will witness the integration of viewer behavior from Rentrak’s database of passive TV and VOD information with Census-level video vieweing analytical data collected from AMC’s digital platforms.
This venture will intend to unearth how audiences use these platforms, filtered by demographics. Rentrak claims that this effort will look to established a new “reach” model, where the reach is incrementally increased in looking at a combination of digital viewing, DVR, TV and VOD sources.
