The number of homes where Roku devices are used is increasing as it becomes a more popular way to consume TV programming as per a new report from Parks Associates.
Roku’s leading share of the streaming media player market in the U.S rose to 37% from 30% a year ago. This puts it ahead of competitors such as Amazon, Google and Apple.
Google’s chromecast dropped to 18%, Apple TV’s share fell to 15% and Amazon Fire TV’s share increased to 24% from 16% in the quarter as per Parks report.
