UKTV invests in SVoD platform Hopster

British multi-channel broadcaster, UKTV, jointly owned by BBC Studios and Discovery Inc., has invested in children’s subscription video on platform Hopster. With the alliance, Hoster can advertise on UKTV’s selection of channels, ad in return for an equity stake in the business.

Simon Michaelides, UKTV’s Chief Commercial Officer, quoted, “TV advertising remains the most efficient and effective marketing medium, with the highest spend coming from businesses in the digital sector.
