Viacom invests in Roku

Viacom has recently shared hands in a $45.4 million funding for Roku – the video streaming giant. Other media centric companies like Dish, Hearst, Sky, and News Corp have also invested in Roku. It has raised more than $200 million now. There was news that the company for looking into IPO, but that seems less likely now. It claims to have 8% of the connected device market, facing competition from Apple TV, Google Play and Amazon Prime.
