German actor Matthias Schweighöfer follows the footsteps of Netflix, Amazon and Maxdome and sets up a video-on-demand (VOD) service.
Pantaflix will launch on July 28, 2016 in Europe and the USA with further territories to follow. The target is global availability.
In contrast to existing VOD portals which purchase their films from sales companies or distributors, Schweighöfer wants to enable producers to directly target their audience through Pantaflix – without intermediaries.
