China having the largest broadband user base in the world, with majority of internet users accessing through mobile devices is expected to invest $22 billion by 2020 to expand its internet services in the remote areas of the country. A recent research by Research and Markets estimates the video streaming market in china to grow at the CAGR of 29.74% over 2016-2020.
The research finds out that Chinese audience is after affordable entertainment, having spent over 26 hours per week on the internet. VOD services are popular among the age group of 12-29 in China, having over 80% internet users watched online videos more than twice a week in 2015. Number of Video streaming Platform users in China are 480 million, which comes to 71% of its internet users.
