Amazon rebrands its free streaming service as IMDb TV

After a long time, finally, Amazon decides to rebrand its free movie and TV shows streaming service – IMDb Freedive. The free streaming brand will be now known as IMDb TV and will feature tripe number of content than the platform had before.

Thanks to the new content deals with Sony Pictures, Warner Bros, and MGM Studios, IMDb TV will stream thousands of exclusive titles in the coming months. Currently, the service is restricted to the US region, but by the end of 2019 IMDb TV will be made available to European users.

Marc Whitten, Vice President of Fire TV, commented: “IMDb TV brings some of the best free content into the living room and we’re excited that our U.S. customers now have access to even more free TV shows and movies through their app and customers in Europe can soon enjoy this great service at the comfort of their home.”
