According to reports, Comcast customers now can enjoy SVOD service Amazon Prime Video on Xfinity X1. Comcast, the American telecommunication conglomerate has come to an agreement with the OTT service provider that would enable Comcast customers to have an access to the latter’s online video streaming platform. According to Comcast, this is the first time Amazon Prime Video has been integrated on an MVPD platform. The cable operator is already streaming Netflix on X1.
Dana Strong, President Comcast Consumer Service, quoted, “Amazon Prime Video’s growing list of originals, movies, shows, documentaries, and kids’ programming will be an excellent complement to the overall X1 viewing experience. We want to give customers easy access to all their favorite content in one place. X1 continues to be a platform that can curate live TV, On Demand movies and shows, and streaming internet video and music titles into one, easy-to-use, seamless experience.”
