The Latin American on-demand and live streaming platform – HBO Go, is now launched in Brazil. This launch is the first step by HBO Go to offer subscription VOD service in Brazil, just like Mexico and Colombia. Currently, the platform is offered as TV everywhere service, with no extra charge in Pay TV operations. However, in Mexico and Columbia, HBO Go is, available as a SVOD service.
HBO has also updated the platform in Argentina and Uruguay also. The Brazilian SVOD platform is completely revamped and offers its users faster and dynamic access to content. Right now, the SVOD penetration in Brazil stands at 82%.
