Facebook Up for Content Deals: Reaching TV studios, Investing in Originals

Facebook finally bringing videos apps for Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV & Samsung smart TVs

Facebook is taking the Video business seriously. Starting with the streaming of live games on the platform and letting users create and share their own videos the company is now reportedly focusing on bringing it’s own videos. And to do this Facebook is now in talks with many TV studios and video producers to get content licences.

Ricky Van Veen, Facebook’s recently hired head of global creative strategy, also stated that the platform will also invest in creating original video content. This video streaming push is definitely going to give Facebook’s video tab a major boost.
