Walmart’s video streaming service Vudu, which is priced on a transaction and subscription based offering, rolls out a new on-demand service named Vudu Movies. The service will be rolled out free backed by a an ad-supported model. The service launches across all devices including Roku, Chromecast, Xbox and iOS and Android devices.

“This is Vudu’s first step beyond transactional video and the timing felt right,” said Jeremy Verba, VP and GM of Vudu and Walmart.com’s entertainment properties.
