Google Introduces Student Plans for YouTube Music & YouTube Premium in Canada

In an effort to boost the user numbers, specifically students, Google introduces new student plans for YouTube Music & YouTube Premium subscriptions in Canada.

YouTube Music for students is now priced at £4.99/month compared to the standard £9.99 plan. And YouTube Premium’s pricing is also reduced to £6.99 from £11.99 per month.

This move comes after Spotify announced its Premium Duo plan in various territories across the world.

Students in Canada need to submit their ID card digitally through SheerID in order to validate their premium subscriptions for YouTube Music & YouTube Premium.
