South Korean showbiz giant CJ Group is teaming up with China’s Youku and global SVOD platform Netflix for promoting homegrown content such as K-pop and Korean TV dramas into the global mainstream. The company is strategically seeking major domestic players for streaming in the U.S. and China.

The entertainment giant focuses on creating content tailored to online viewing. A CJ ENM executive quoted, “If we can identify viewers with great accuracy across borders, we’ll be able to bring in potential advertisers. Our planning capability for creating video content is versatile. We have a number of world-class creators in house.”
