According to a new research by Juniper Research, 4K OTT video streaming services will attract 189 Million unique users by 2021 globally up from just 2.3 million this year. The research expects 4K OTT content to be viewed by every 1 in 10 US residents in 2021, compared to just 1 in 500 this year.
The boom is expected to be driven by the availability of greater content and compatible devices. Connected TV is going to the preferred device but there will also be views on smartphones, tablets and PCs.
