A recent study has found out that OTT VOD services are far ahead of traditional TV and broadcasters when it comes to using connected devices. The report states that more than 25% OTT video service subscriptions were purchased through connected device apps including connected TVs, streaming media players and game consoles.

Hulu itself has 37% of its subscribers signing up through a connected device, which makes it the biggest contributor in the world of connected apps in OTT space. A forecast from Parks Associates estimates OTT subscription revenues to reach from $15 billion in 2015 to $30 billion by the end of 2020 worldwide.
