OTT players in Argentina including Netflix and Spotify will be taxed. Argentina’s Administración Federal de Ingresos Públicos (AFIP) plans to tax OTT services through credit card companies.
Alberto Abad, head of AFIP stated in a press conference in Cordoba that this move will be the start to looking for new taxing models for firms that are not creating tangible products that serve as a reference for traditional tax systems.
